And so last thursday the final add-ons (read guitars & steel guitar) where recorded when Mathias was back in town briefly. Now we just await the first mix of the tracks to arrive from our producer… We are psyched the hear the final result and hope you’ll like the tracks too.

Pew. Our first studio-session for this fall (with the album in mind) have been finished (almost). Mathias will lay down some guitar add-ons later this week and mr. ‘Oakman’, our producer, has some mixing/mastering to do until they’re completely done. but still. the biggest part is sorted.
The three tracks ‘Cut Me Open’, ‘Loneliest When You Kiss Me’ and ‘5:am’ all sounds like hits to me. Hopefully that’s what you’ll be thinking too. We have played all three on the recent shows in Sweden, but they’re sounding a lot different in this finished format. New drum-beats, new tempos and loooots of fun and great add-ons that haven’t been there before. I think you’ll looove them! We do!
Anyway. We are hoping to get two or three more sessions like this this fall to make sure we have a large enough and good enough selection for the coming album. Hopefully these three, plus ‘Stuck on You’, ‘Sunday Morning’ and ‘Too Late Madeline’ (in need of a re-mixing) from earlier recordings will help us find a label a lot faster…

Nu har vi gjort några spelningar, dom flesta har gått bra. Men vissa (läs Sundsvall) var jobbigare att ta sig igenom än andra (Läs Göteborg).
Imorgon så kommer vi att börja spela in skivan, det ska nog bli kul. Men jag ska ju som bara lägga lite pålägg och sånt därt så det blir ganska lugnt. Det är fint för jag är lite slut.
A new beginning.

Hey all. For quite some time the website has been inactive. Almost as long as it has existed even… Our main focus has been our nice little MySpace-site (www.myspace.com/blacklightco). It will still be there that you can find songs to listen too (downloads/streams) etc. but we’ll try to keep you updated here as well… We ARE playing a show tomorrow, monday, in Piteå at Kåren. Hope to see some of you there! Doors open at 8 and shows start at 10pm.
On wednesday we’ll be starting to record our debut-album. How long it will take, what songs will be on it and all that we’ll have to see about, but. Make damn sure to check this space and our MySpace as often as possible and you’ll be the first to know!
We’d also like to start thanking the people who’ve attended our shows in the past two weeks. With Gothenburg (sept 16th) and Östersund (22nd) as the absolute most fun to play due to fantastic turnouts. Thanks for showing up and showing your love. See you soon again we hope!
